Message from the Chief:
Let me begin by thanking the City of Magee for allowing me to serve as your Chief of Police. I firmly believe that the City of Magee, its Board of Alderman, and the Magee Police Department have grown together to make a stronger and safer city.
Knowing this has made the difficult decision of moving on a little easier. I have been blessed with an offer that will better the lives of me and my family. After much prayer and consideration, I have accepted this offer. While I am formally resigning as the Chief of Police for this city, I still have high hopes and great expectations for the future of the Magee Police Department and the City of Magee.
I would like to thank the people of the City of Magee, the Board, and most importantly the men and women of the Magee Police Department. I am eternally grateful for the time I have served as your chief. It has been an honor and a privilege.
Sincerely,
Chief Shane Little
Sue note:  Shane will be at the Police Department until July 15, 2024.
Applications for the position will be available at City Hall in a week or so.

Such a professional Chief and honorable man. I sincerely am sorry the City of Magee is losing this LEO. Praying he has a great career ahead and is extremely blessed. He is truly doing what is best for his precious family.
