On Saturday, October 24, 2026, deputies with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Joseph Daniel Young on an outstanding Felony Capias warrant for the Sale of a Controlled Substance.
Following his arrest, Young was found to be in possession of illicit narcotics and a weapon, leading to several new charges filed by investigators:
• Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance while in possession of a firearm
• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Simple assault (misdemeanor warrant)
Total bond for the new charges has been set at $57,445.00.
Because Young was already out on bond for previous felony offenses at the time of his arrest, his prior bond status is being formally revoked, and he will remain held in the Simpson County Adult Detention Center
