Steve worked for many years in the flooring industry. At 50, he told his favorite sister, Tracey, that he always wanted to be a truck driver, and that’s what he did. He absolutely loved it. He drove his entire career for Prime Inc. and earned many driving awards throughout his time with them. The best gift Steve received in his lifetime was the birth of his granddaughter, Lucy. She had him wrapped around her little finger, and she brought out a side of him that was truly heartwarming to see.
Steve was a quiet, unassuming person, who was always there to take care of his friends and family. His kindness and generosity touched many lives. For himself, he never asked for much and never complained. In fact, he could find humor in very trying circumstances. He was perceptive and thoughtful. We all knew he loved us, and he will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Wayne Griffith; mother, Mary Earlene Brown. Griffith; maternal grandparents, GP Brown and Era Brown; paternal grandparents, Noah Griffith and Sybil Griffith.
Survivors include his son, Logan Thomas Griffith (Vina); grandchild, Lucille Grace Griffith; brother, Herbert Wayne Griffith; sisters, Vicki Lynn Williams (Marvin), Cindy Grace Jones (Bill) and Tracey Lee Williams (Dixon).
Special music will be performed by Billy Barnes.
