Simpson Academy Head Coach Todd Mangum was the guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Magee Lions Club.
Coach Mangum spoke about the importance of teamwork and service—two qualities that are essential not only on the athletic field but also in civic organizations such as the Lions Club. He explained that success comes when people work together, encourage one another and remain committed to a common goal.
The lessons learned through athletics often carry over into everyday life. Discipline, leadership, responsibility and a willingness to serve others help build stronger teams, schools and communities.
Coach Mangum was the guest of Lion Dr. Rudy Runnels.
The club also welcomed its newest member, Justin Hemphill. Lions Club members are dedicated to serving others and supporting projects that make a positive difference throughout the Magee community.
