Robert Lowery Everett, II, 74 of Magee, MS, died peacefully in his home on February 22, 2025.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Magee. Burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Buddy Keyes and Tommy Meador will officiate. Special music will be performed by Stacy Mangum and Susan Mangum. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Bob was born in Magee in 1951 to Lowery and Johnnie Sue Everett. Robert, also known as Bob, was one of six children. Bob attended Magee High School before attending Copiah Lincoln Community College and later earned his college degree at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Bob spent much of his life in service to his community. His unwavering commitment to minister to others led him to become a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church Magee where he actively attended the Spares and Pairs Sunday School class, was committed to the church Brotherhood, Inspirations and Silvertones. Bob was also an honorary member of the Magee Fire Department, Magee Lions Club, Gideons, and Magee Chamber of Commerce. He was chosen Magee’s Outstanding Citizen and Hall of Fame. Over the years Bob also served as President of Magee Touchdown club, coach, bus driver, history teacher, business owner of Bob’s Athletic Center and Bob’s Catering Service.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Madelyn Allen, Donna Jo Yates and Dianne McGinty.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; daughter, Jan Hollis-Cole (Jennifer) of Lexington, KY; son, Bob Everett  (Kelly) of Buford ,GA; six grandchildren Carly, Grayson,  Brennon, Brady, Quinn, and Emily; sister, Sue Grantham (Jim) of Caruthersville, MO and brother, Tim  Everett  (Betty) of Byram, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Mangum, Kris Mangum, Joe Allen II, Tommy Blackledge, Chip Holbrook, and Andy Kennedy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Emily Everett, Brady Everett, Brennon Hollis-Cole, and Quinn Hollis-Cole.
