Around noon on Friday, September 30, 2022, an eighteen wheeler was coming to a stop in the MS-28W lane from US49 when a strap on the load broke causing the load to shift damaging the cab of the truck and spilling some of the load.
A second 18 wheeler passing on the highway was outfitted with a crane. The 2nd 18 wheeler reloaded the trailer cleaning 49 northbound.
MDOT is currently on the scene along with the Magee Police Department awaiting the wrecker service to transport the vehicle and trailer cleaning MS 28W turn lane.
