Dee Dee was a member of Sharon Presbyterian Church. She was active, serving in the choir, VBS director or teacher, church functions, and most importantly Sunday School. Dee Dee taught Sunday school for over 20+ years. It brought her so much joy to teach the children. She was blessed Sunday after Sunday. At Sharon, she constantly grew in her faith. She knew her redeemer lives!

Dee Dee worked for the Simpson County School District for nearly 28 years at multiple positions. She loved the children and her co-workers dearly. She loved her job and did it very well. Unfortunately, Dee Dee was forced to retire early due to health conditions. She remained friends with many of her co-workers until her death.

Dee Dee enjoyed being with Mike more than anything. They did everything together. They enjoyed working in the yard together, washing vehicles, doing projects indoors and outdoors, and fishing. Probably, her most favorite thing to do is watch her grandchildren do anything. Church programs, awards days, playing, and sports. Mike and Dee enjoyed traveling together to watch their grandchildren do what they enjoyed.

DeAnna is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mike; her mother-in-law, Doris Deshotel; her brother, James Gregory Carr (Brenda) of Jersey Village, TX; sisters, Kim Jackson (Dan) of Petal, MS and Shelly Crane (David) of Magee, MS; her children, daughter, Candace Todd (Evan) of Monticello, MS, son Matt Maddox (Candy) of Mize, MS; grandchildren, Gabe, Zeke, Addi, Lola, Lizzy, and Kaydee Belle.

De Anna was preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce Carr.
