Tuesday night, January 14, 2020, the Zoning Board for the City of Magee met to address 3 zoning issues.  Those in attendance:  Jim Ball, Sue Honea, Bill Caughman, Arthur Milton, James Peden and Diane McPhail.  Absent was Brian Hubbard.

Two areas were considered for special exception which is Conditional Use.  1471-B Simpson Hwy 49 was granted conditional use.  The area is part of the Western Motel near Dairy Queen.  Vinaykumar Patel intends to put a package store in an area of the motel building.  Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) will make the decision if the building meets the requirement of the state for a package store.

Rajandora Patel was granted conditional use at 412 11th Avenue SW (location of the old Radio Shack) for the purpose of a Package Store.  Again, ABC will determine if the business meets the requirements to sell liquor in that area.
