The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Job 10:12: “You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in Your providence watched over my spirit.” Poor Job, through all his trials and tribulations, would not relent in his love for God. Not even his wife could convince him to curse God and die. Job had lost so much; yet, he was able to utter words of thankfulness to God for watching over him. The story of Job is difficult to grasp, I’ll admit; yet, through it all, I see a man of strong faith who held tenaciously to his belief that God would sustain and keep His promises. Not always in the sense of man’s time, but in God’s own time. In our deep valleys and darkest moments, we, too, can be assured of God’s grace and guidance.
