The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 1 Peter 2:9: “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him, Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” Here, Peter tells early church converts and us today just how special they were and we are to God. Yes, we are chosen; we are royalty; we are holy; and we belong to God. We have been singled out to praise Him for saving us from outer darkness and bringing us into eternal light. It’s God doing for us what we could never do for ourselves. He deserve our allegiance and our praise. Let us not be timid in doing so. Amen!
