On Monday, December 1, 2025, under the thoughtful direction of Mayor Mark Grubbs, a quiet but deeply meaningful wreath-laying ceremony was held at Magee Cemetery to honor the veterans laid to rest there. The morning carried that soft December stillness—the kind that makes you pause and remember.
Family members of veterans, city officials, local citizens, city employees, and members of the Magee City Cemetery Committee gathered together, forming a small circle of gratitude and respect. The wreaths—provided by the City of Magee—were beautifully decorated by Mrs. Lyndel Cockrell, who serves faithfully on the Cemetery Committee.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Ricky Anderson and the men of Voice of Hope. Their kindness, strength, and willingness to help made the placement of the wreaths possible. They took great care marking each grave and laying each wreath with honor.
