Ted Warren reported on the condition of several garbages trucks now in service. “The majority of money is being spent on repairs for the garbage trucks,” explained Warren.
A used body was put on a truck with a much newer engine….bad mistake. The cost to switch for a newer body which is on another one of the county trucks will run about $5,000. The board voted to make the switch .
On a regular work week, four garages trucks are used. Presently we have 8 trucks with 3 down. To receive a new truck would take approximately 11 months.
