The Wolves and Bulldogs battled back and forth throughout the first half, but the Bulldogs would go into the locker rooms clinging to a 27-25 lead at halftime. The second half saw the Wolves storm past the Bulldogs and outscore them, 37-28, to earn the 62-55 victory.

A pair of sophomores led the way for the Wolves as forward AJ Warnsley (Byram) had a double-double on the night with 24 points and 12 rebounds as both marks were team highs to go along with guard Lerenzo Fort III who had 22 points. Trey also had four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Sophomore guard Kedarius Stampley (Fayette) added six points while sophomore guard Jordan Marshall (Raymond) had three points. Sophomore center Cole Chapman (White Bear Lake, Minn.), sophomore forward Kareeme Davis (Trenton, N.J.), and freshman guard Constantine Morant (Hancock) had two points each, while sophomore guard AJ Warnsley (Brookhaven) added one point to round out the scoring for the Wolves. Warnsley also had a big night rebounding for the Wolves as he had seven boards and led the team in blocks with three.

The Wolves are now 1-2 overall on the season and will return to action with a road contest against Southern University Shreveport on Thursday, November 11. The action will tipoff at 7 p.m.
