Thursday morning, December 26th, I received a text from my friend Laine Magee.  Laine said, “your wish has come through!”  (A picture of the Wendy’s sign with the big cranes getting ready to remove the sign!)  Hot dog, I did get one of my wishes for the year—the sign was removed today!  I actually posted a video (see below) from the fabulous event.

Honestly, sometimes I felt bad about the hard time I kept giving Wendy’s…but then when I looked at the million pigeons roosted in the sign…I would crank back up on my mission to get something done!  I don’t think for a minute that my “rant” had anything to do with Wendy’s getting a facelift, properly the “do-over” was already planned…but, I feel we can make a difference if we speak out.

Not only is the sign being replaced, but the entire store is getting an over-haul.

As I watched the sign “swinging” down, I thought, “what is my next project???”  I have decided I don’t just need to have a project!  We all need a project.  I would like for my readers to share with me some of their “wishes” for our city for the new year.  I don’t want this to be a slander session!  I want ya’ll to let me know what you really want to see happen or change in Magee (within reason).

I’ve got several ideas of what needs an upgrade.  But, I have not decided what is at the top of my list.  I’m going to spend the next week or so thinking about what I feel Magee really needs.

We have a great Mayor and board.  They want to make a difference.  But, sometimes they don’t even know what really bothers you…or what you would like to see changed.

If anyone gets a picture of the new sign before I do, please email or text to me (suehonea. 601-310-6881)

The sign was dropped to a waiting trailer
Wonder what they found up there in the sign???
