Virginia Robinson Wells, 88, of Mize, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019, at Magee General Hospital.

Wells was a lifelong resident of Mize and a faithful member of New Sardis Baptist Church for 50 years.  Raised in a tightknit family as one of eight children, her family was always her pride and joy. She dearly loved her family, friends, neighbors, and church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was strong and faithful, humble and hard working, selfless and generous. She always enjoyed having visitors in her home. She was not one to express her emotions with words, but she always added an extra dash of love to every dish and dessert that was made in her kitchen. She will be remembered for her true servants heart and gentle spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Nelson Wells; parents George and Bertha Robinson; Siblings Witsol Robinson, Rudolph Robinson, Ralph Robinson, Geneva McAlpin, Marie Amason; sisters-in-law Doris Robinson, Joyce Robinson, brother-in-law Ershal McAlpin; and niece Sherry Kendall.
