I’m not really a lover of cold weather, but I do love the flowers when spring is just beginning.
The yellow daffodils make me smile…and my heart sing. I love filling vases all over my house with beautiful yellow flowers!
I have grown up with camellias greeting me at every entrance to my home. The camellias are courtesy of my Uncle Gebe (L.G.) Horn. As a young man, he planted camellias all over our yard for his mother! I live in my grandparents home and have reaped the benefits of Gebe’s love for his mama.
I have white camellias, red camellias, and pink camellias. But, time is taking a toll on these 90 year old plants. Every year, a bush seems to die. The large umbrella bush near the corner of my front porch is dying! Last year, I lost a pink perfection plant…and from the looks of the bushes, I’m going to lose another.
Although I am sad watching these plants die-out, I treasure everyday I get to look at them! God’s glory!
Flowers are a gift that keeps on giving.
