Winnie Lee Roberts, 86, of Mize, passed from this life Monday, August 3, 2015 at her residence in Mize.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee, Bro. Tim Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery in Mize.
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements, (601) 849-5031.
Mrs. Roberts loved spending time with her family and friends; she always had an open door for anyone and would lend a helping hand to everyone. She loved watching all the children play and was everyone’s “Granny”. She spent many years skating at the roller rink, and loved gardening and her beautiful flowers. Mrs. Roberts was an avid collector of large antique and porcelain dolls and spent many hours admiring them. She was a member of the Famous Poets Society and was blessed with many memories.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Mims Mitchell Home in Magee.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Kay Kennedy and husband Bobby of Raleigh, grand children Cristie Jordan Reed and husband Terry and husband Terry, Angela Cannon Runnels and husband Johnny, Todd Roberts, Lisa Roberts, and Sunshine Sellers, and great grandchild Chelsea Runnels.
She was preceded by her parents Clyde and Arizona Craft, husband of 52 years Clinton Ray Roberts, son Billy Clinton Roberts, and 3 sisters.
Pallbearers will be Terry Reed, Carl Jordan, Rickey Hosey, John Howell, Randy Stewart, and Brent Arinder.
