On September 19, 2016 at 12:32 pm, charlie Williams, 62 year old, called E-911 and reported athat he had been shot by his wife of 11 years, Mrs. Minnie Ruth Williams, 68 years old.
The couple were having a verbal altercation that resulted in Williams being shot in the buttocks.
Mrs. Williams was arrested without further incident and is awaiting her initial appearance in justice court.
Mrs. Williams will be formally charged with domestic violence aggravated assault.
Simpson County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Magee Police Department.
