MENDENHALL – Copiah-Lincoln Community College Simpson County Center sophomore Deborah Thurman of Mount Olive (left) and English instructor LaWanda Dickens of Brookhaven were recently honored as William Winter Scholars at the 2019 Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration (NLCC). Each Winter Scholar is chosen by his or her educational institution as the most outstanding student or faculty member in the humanities division. Winners are honored publicly at the opening and closing sessions of NLCC, and in printed materials.
