William Thomas Worthy 
(March 4, 1937 – March 11, 2023)

William Thomas Worthy, 86 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heaven home on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, March 4, 1937, in Bentonia, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Joe Metts will officiate. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Kathy Smith and Mrs. Lawana Thompson.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

 

          He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ola Juanita Keel Worthy; daughter, Bonita Carson; step-son, Danny Joe Thompson; father, James Frank Worthy; mother, Mary Ida Lewis Worthy; brothers, James “Buddy” Worthy and Otto Worthy; sisters, Faye “Sally” Worthy Williams and Jackie Ann Worthy.

          Survivors include his wife, Louise Kennedy Worthy of Magee, MS; daughters, Juanita “Tiny” Stricklin of Yazoo City, MS, and Cindy Thompson Corley (Joe) of Magee, MS; step-daughter-in-law, Lawana Thompson of Magee, MS; sisters, Frances Dozier, and Carrie Creel; and a host of other family members and friends.

          Pallbearers will be Cullan Kight, Tyler Wilks, Hunter Thompson, Paul Dozier, Terry Dozier, and Otto Worthy.
