William Kenneth Kennedy, 79, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away from his earthy home to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. He was born Wednesday, May 14, 1941.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee.

Prior to services visitation will be held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Mendenhall from 1:00 PM until service time. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Frank Harmon will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mr. Kennedy, was also known by his friends as K.K. He retired after 30 years with Magnetek. He was an avid outdoors man. His passion was hunting and fishing. He and his wife are members of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Mendenhall. He was a member of the freemasons for over fifty years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Roma Kennedy; his daughter Lisa Kennedy Crosby Amundson.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nettie Kennedy. She was the love of his life. His brothers, George Kennedy (Carolyn), Mack Kennedy (Darlene) and Gary Kennedy (Judy); his children, Teresa Bynum of Mendenhall (Roy) and Ken Kennedy of Richland (Anna); his grandchildren, Kecia Crosby, Hayden Amundson, Kaitlyn Amundson, Hannah Bynum, Haley Bynum, Garrett Kennedy, Matthew Shelton, and Cara Shelton.
