William Howard “W.H.” Anderson, 88, of Magee, MS passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, MS. He was born Saturday, March 9, 1929 in Magee, MS.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Magee City Cemetery. Bro. Danny Dickerson and Bro. Joe Metts will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031

Mr. W.H. was a loving husband, father, sibling and grandfather. He was affectionately known by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and their friends as “Pop-Pop.” He was a retired building contractor. In his retirement, he enjoyed working in his yard, vegetable garden, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson and Lillie Craft Anderson and his siblings, Odell Anderson, Louis Anderson, Bill Anderson, Bernice Anderson and Shirley Overby.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Anderson, Magee, MS; children, Sandra Rankin (Ronnie) and Ricky Anderson of Magee, MS and Mignyon Warren (Scott), Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; siblings, Marshall Anderson, Joe Anderson, Ruby Ware, Zelda Bankston and Bobbie Nichols all of Magee, MS; grandchildren, Jason Rankin (Marrianne) and Steven Rankin (Melanie) of Brandon, MS and Logan Warren and Lucas Warren, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; great grand children, Avery, Ella Grace, Beck, Reed and Ross Rankin and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Barnes, Carl Craft, Charles James, Devan James, Scott Nichols, and Bobby Toney.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dry Creek Baptist Church Family Life Center at 1246 Dry Creek Road, Mendenhall, MS 39114; Living Independance For Everyone (LIFE) of MS at 1304 Vine Street, Jackson, MS 39202; or S.A.F.E Pet Rescue in St. Augustine, FL online at safe-pet-rescue-fl.com.
