Funeral services for William F. “Buddy” Stroud III will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Journey Church, Pineville, with Rev. James Greer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023, until shortly before time of services in the church.

Buddy, 82 years, of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Tulane Medical Center, New Orleans.

He worked for many years as a pharmacist. He was a member of Journey Church. He was an avid golfer. He was passionate about Ole Miss sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents William Stroud and Alma Stroud Day; and his son, William Fletcher “Skip” Stroud IV and one brother-in-law, Joe McPhail.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Elaine Turnley Stroud; his son, Stephen Taylor Stroud (Amy); sisters, Diane McPhail and Debbie Clyde (Jimmy); grandchildren, Indo Coddell (Michael), Ashlee Gurley, Izabelle Stroud, Andrew Stroud, Layton Stroud, Linden Stroud, Lindsay Stroud, Caroline Stroud, and Claire Stroud; great-grandchild, Leonard Cole Finch; nieces, Jodi Henry (Wally), Dee Dee Hooks, Angel Brister, Kelli Kemp (Gary), Kim Clyde (Rob), Kasey Williamson (Kevin), and Kristi Scoggins; and many great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Pat Graves, Steve Millsap, Terry Floyd, Walter Price, Bill Wiley, Jerry Corley, Bobby Bardwell, and Rocky Collins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Journey Church Servant Hearts and Brian Buckoski.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Journey Church, 2900 Donahue Ferry, Pineville, Louisiana 71360 (www.jcpineville.com) or Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, 7200 Desiard St., Monroe, Louisiana 71203 (www.lbch.org).
