WCU extends deadline for ACT Camp

William Carey University will offer its 10th Annual ACT Camp this summer at its Hattiesburg campus. The camp’s goal is to help motivated students improve their ACT scores for college entry.

This year’s camp will be held June 3-6. The original application deadline of April 24 has been extended to May 17 to allow more students to participate. To download an application, visit www.wmcarey.edu/act-camp.

  • Students who have already applied for the camp will receive their acceptance letters as indicated on their application and should be prepared to register for the June 8 national ACT exam.
  • Applications received after April 29th will receive notification of acceptance by May 22 and should be prepared to register for the July 13th national ACT exam.

The cost of the camp is $100 and includes subject area and general testing strategy sessions. Scholarships of $25 are available to students with financial hardships. Applications are open to 2023-24 sophomores and juniors who attend public, private or home-schools – and who have taken the national ACT exam at least once within the last two years, but have not yet obtained a score/superscore of 21 or above.

For more information, contact Tina Bond at (601) 318-6091 or email tbond@wmcarey.edu.

ACT Camp celebrates its 10th anniversary this year at WCU’s Hattiesburg campus.
