In the United States of America, we are blessed with the wonderful opportunity to vote. We, the people of the United States, have the ability to directly affect the policies our country pursues by electing officials that we believe will lead responsibly. Voting is our way of participating in democracy- our way of voicing our opinion. On the ballot in 2018, positions from local judges to both United States Senators are up for election. With so many positions open, you have the choice to vote for change or to continue down the path our country has been led. In recent times, voter turnout has been extremely low for our area with approximately 13% of registered Simpson County voters turning out for an election in last July. If you have a problem with a policy or idea that is being implemented by the government, then vote for a candidate to change that policy. On November 6, you have the opportunity to vote for change or you can vote for a candidate that will support the President’s agenda. At the end of the day, just vote. Vote for candidates that you believe will best lead our country, because our democracy is at its best when we are all involved. GO VOTE ON NOVEMBER 6!
