The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Luke 16:20: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” Physician Luke, like Solomon, was full of wisdom imparted directly from God. To the early Christians, Luke, in his sacred writings, felt it incumbent to share that wisdom for use in daily living. We all have observed saints who have proven their trustworthiness through years of service in churches, as well as in the marketplace. How wonderful to have it said of one that he or she is honest and forthright in dealing with family, church, and neighbors. With the Holy Spirit as guide, one can be accorded this very special distinction. Amen!
