Who remembers clay water and sewage lines?

I sure don’t remember any type of clay lines!  I live in an old house that will turn 100 in a few years.  While digging in the back yard, clay lines were discovered.  I have a big “man-hole” cover in my back and have no idea what the hole leads to.

There is just something about an old house and an old home place.  We are constantly coming upon interesting fines in the yard and in our barn.

I do know the area behind my house was once a pasture that held cattle and horses.  The barn had corn and feed  for years.

I love old stuff.  I am afraid my boys do not!  Often my treasures are looked at as junk.

With Mother’s Day Sunday, I reminisce even more.  What a blessing to have had a fabulous mother who loved the world and all things in it…to have a grandmother who actually cooked every day…to have aunts that treated me like their child…to have Sunday school and GA leaders who loved me unconditionally…to have teachers that made a lasting impression on me.

I am one blessed woman even if many of those people are only a memory.

From a sewage line to mothers to teachers, I’ve jumped all around today!  Hug your mama, hug your grandmother, hug your aunts, and hug all the people who have and do make a difference in your life.

(Back to the sewage line, does anyone have info on those type lines in Magee?  Email me)
