Now, ya’ll, I live in the middle of town! I heard from Lawana there was a buck on the loose close to Trustmark…but, I thought really???
Saturday morning, Michael and I were in my back yard. All the sudden he says, “what’s that?” I’m thinking what is what…well, he screams “a deer.” My back yard is enclosed except for the walk by my garage office. Sure enough, there is a doe near the barn. I’m screaming, “he can’t get out…there is no opening…the gate is closed…he is going to charge through the pool and run over us!” Michael is thrilled and starts toward the barn. By then I am convinced the deer will charge and kill him! We are both starring at the deer who is starring at us. That beautiful God’s creature turns and leaps over the high fence with grace and beauty that deer takes off up the hill…All of this happened with in say 10-15 seconds! As Michael said, we’ve had coons, skunks, snakes, rats, cats, dogs, show up in our yard and now a deer!
Life in the city is always interesting.
