A “preview” of this Tuesday night’s board meeting took place Thursday, October 12th at the Workshop meeting of the alderman. At this workshop, no legal action was taken. The members discuss items that need attention…decide if the information will be discussed further at the scheduled Tuesday night meeting or do “more digging.” Angel Britster, Alderman at Large, was unable to attend the workshop. She had informed the mayor she would be out of town on the 12th. All other board members were present.
These items will be discussed Tuesday night: charging a fee for ID/Background checks; water bill increase; naming of a new Court Clerk, airport matters (pilots are encouraged to attend); situation of the old Magee elementary; city defense attorney; naming Keep Magee Beautiful Board; copy machine contract, wrapping the car wash building at the Exon with a welcome sign; personnel; direct deposit for city employees, situation at the city lagoon…I’m sure I missed something! Remember, these are items that will be discussed Tuesday night. No voting took place at the workshop.
Board meetings are open to the public. The meeting begins at 6:30 Tuesday night, but, the alderman will be available to speak with the public beginning at 6 PM. The board meeting will be live streamed on the home page of MageeNews.com
