The skilled cardiac surgeon, who has succeeded in every challenge he has ever come across, is suddenly faced with a heart he cannot fix. With only seconds to decide, will he remove the shard of glass from her heart, risking certain death of the only woman he has ever loved, or will he choose to somehow, in a never before seen surgery, attempt to secure the glass in place, forever giving her a broken heart.

Peak your interest? Students are engaged in writing interesting stories about their very own creations of a Superhero in conjunction with TEEN READ WEEK with the Magee Public Library. The winning entry will be published in the Magee Courier and MageeNews.com.
The English Department is lead this year by Ruth Allen as the English Department Chair. This is her second year to teach at Magee High School. She teaches English III American Literature, ACT Prep, and Essentials for College Literacy. Ms. Allen earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a Masters of Education, both from Mississippi College. She is currently pursuing a Masters of School Counseling. Mrs. Allen lives in Magee with her husband, Merrick, and children. She is a member of Overflow Church.
New to the faculty this year is Pamela Rodgers Plunkett. She is the new English II teacher at Magee High School and this is her first year to teach at MHS. She has nine years of teaching experience. Mrs. Rodgers-Plunkett earned her Bachelors of Arts in English from Belhaven University. She lives in Puckett with her husband and children.
Bailee Williams is the new English I teacher and cheer sponsor at Magee High School. This is her first year to teach at MHS. She has been teaching for two years. Mrs. Williams earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Mississippi. She lives in Brandon with her husband. She attends and is a member of the choir of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Fondren.
Also new to the faculty is Jillian Etheridge. She teaches English IV and Learning Strategy classes at Magee High School. She recently moved to Magee after teaching English Composition at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Art in theatre and her Masters in English.
