What’s Happening at the SASE Apartments on Raleigh Road

The City of Magee has dealt with complaints on the condition of the SASE apartments on Raleigh Road for several years.

Mr. Sampson Jackson, manager, appeared before the Board of Aldermen for a hearing on the condition of the apartments and the grounds.

Following a some time heated discussion, the Board voted to allow Mr. Jackson 30 days to remedy the situation.

The complex has been sited numerous times for safety violations.  Two of the apartments were visited by City officials. (Penny Aguirre, Charlie Valadie, Shane Steele, and David Craft).

Fire Chief David Craft explained the poor unsafe conditions at the complex.

Aldermen Patrick Brown, who is the Aldermen for the Ward where the apartments are located, questioned Mr. Jackson several times on the promises he has made in the past.  “We have dealt with this for over

3 years,” explained Aldermen Brown.
