“What to look for when purchasing Jeans”
I feel there is not any item more personal in your wardrobe than a pair of jeans. Jeans make me think of summer nights, picnics and barbeques, trips to the coast and evenings spent with family.
Whether they are distressed and faded or high-waisted and dark there is nothing more all-American. They are also very comfortable.
High-waisted jeans are back in style and are flattering on everyone. They highlight the waist if you’re hour-glass shape and tucks the tummy in if your not. If your a petite frame, like me, the high waist creates a straight line through the leg, elongating your frame. Remember, if you are afraid the high-waist will look too dated, stick to jeans with a 9-inch rise. The 9-inch rise isn’t as dramatic.
The skinny jeans in a dark wash is a must in every woman’s wardrobe. If you want to look polished in denim these are the ones to wear. I believe there is nothing that can’t be worn with them. These are my go-to pair when I need a dressier look. They look good when you put a jacket with them. They are great with heels, flats and boots because they aren’t bulky. If you feel skinny jeans are not for you don’t forget you can choose straight leg jeans, they have a similar effect but not tapered in down the leg like skinny jeans.
