The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Proverbs 13:6: “Righteousness guards the man of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.” King Solomon in all his wisdom from God, had observed and knew that men who walked uprightly always triumphed, because they relied on God for guidance. The sinner, on the other hand, who knew not the power of God, lacked that guidance and, quite naturally, took the path leading to destruction. It all comes down to choice. Do we wish to be in God’s good graces, or do we simply allow ourselves to wander and stumble through life? Let us be wise and sing with truth these lyrics to an old gospel standard, “There’s a Light guiding me. I can see Heaven’s glory. It holds me steadfast to His ways and His love. It’s guiding me through temptation and evil. There’s a Light guiding me to that Heaven above.” Amen!
