WHAT IS IN A NAME?
Do you sometime wonder what your name means? In today’s devotion we will read about a man name Jesus. Our reading today comes from Matthew 1:21. And she shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call His name Jesus. For He shall save His people from their sins.
The name Jesus means God with us. Jesus is always with us from the cradle to the grave. Before Jesus was born an angel of the Lord told Joseph that Mary would give birth to a son and that His name would be called Jesus and Jesus would save His people from their sins.
To become a child of God one must repent, be filled with the Holy Ghost, and speak in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, take up our cross, follow Jesus, and then serve Him. Jesus came to turn our darkness into light, to transform our despair into hope and to save us from our sins.
Jesus purpose is loving and boundless. True grace is God’s Riches At Christ Expense. Want you come today to the cross of Calvary where true living begins. God loves us to much to let us remain as we are. Have a blessed, wonderful, and victorious week. Jesus is the only person who can save you.
