To Vice President, Operations
MAGEE – Peoples Bank President and CEO Dennis Ammann today announced that long-time banker Becky Howell has been promoted to Vice President, Operations.
Over the course of the past 29 years, Ms. Howell has been a part of Peoples Bank, serving in a wide array of capacities including Teller, Customer Service Representative, Bookkeeping, Proof Operator, Loan Assistant, Purchasing and as Collection Officer.
She has completed a number of banking courses and attended numerous seminars during her tenure at the bank. She is a member of the Mendenhall Chamber of Commerce and the Peoples Bank Relay for Life team. Howell and her husband, Steve, are members of Oak Grove Baptist Church and they have one daughter, Natalie.
“I am pleased to announce Becky’s promotion in our Operations Department,” Ammann said. “She has been a valuable member of our banking team for many years and is very deserving of her new title. Her work in Operations is one that is out of the public eye, but essential to the success of our bank.”
Peoples Bank Promotes Mahaffey
MAGEE – Dennis Ammann, President and Chief Executive Officer at Peoples Bank, today announced that Lisa Mahaffey has been promoted from Assistant Vice President to Vice President. Ms. Mahaffey serves as the in-house Mortgage Loan Officer in the bank’s Main Office.
“Lisa is a great fit because she enjoys helping people simplify the whole mortgage process.” Ammann said. “Lisa has done an outstanding job. She’s always going above and beyond for her customers.”
Ms. Mahaffey joined Peoples Bank in 1992, and has served in a number of capacities from teller to consumer lending. She has completed a number of lending seminars during her career.
A native of Canton, she moved to Simpson County in 1985 with her husband, Harlon. They have two children: Kaitlin and Karleigh. Kaitlin is married to Cody Craft and was just recently blessed with a baby boy, Carter. Karleigh attends the Simpson campus of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Ms. Mahaffey is involved with the Simpson County Youth Leadership Program and the Mendenhall Community Club. She also volunteers with the toddlers in Sunday School at First Baptist Church, Mendenhall.
“I am pleased to announce her promotion to Vice President. Lisa has a heart to help people, and that attitude is what makes her so important to our way of banking,” Ammann added.
