Be sure to order your Joy to the World shirt by Tuesday, October 20 and be part of spreading joy to the world this Christmas season.  Merchant Ship Ministries supports the work of Tuleane Afrika Initiative, which is leading the way in providing special education in Kenyan public schools.

Without the work that Tuleane is doing, children like Austin (above) would not be able to attend school each day.  Austin attends the Tuleane Center for Cerebral Palsy, which currently has 23 students and many others on a waiting list.  It is the first center of its kind in Kenya.

The center provides teachers, therapists and caretakers for the children throughout the day and also provides meals which are often the only food some of the children eat each day.

Many of the students belong to single-parent families, and the quality, loving care the children receive during the day at the center offers parents the opportunity to seek employment outside of the home, increasing their ability to provide for the needs of their families.

Currently, the Tuleane Center is in danger of closing its doors for lack of funding.  Merchant Ship Ministries is raising funds to send in continued support of this vital ministry to some very special children.

You can help keep these kids in school by purchasing the 2015 Merchant Ship Ministries Christmas Shirts.  The shirts will be delivered approximately 2 weeks after the sale ends on October 20 and must be ordered online at https://www.bonfirefunds.com/christmas-2015.  Order yours today and be part of the joy educational opportunities are bringing to the lives of these children and their families.

For more information or if you’d like to find out how you can support this ministry on an on-going basis (sponsor a child for $15 a month!), contact Charlie White.
