The Simpson County Bicentennial continues Saturday, June 1, 2024 and the spotlight is on D’Lo!
With a population of 500, D’Lo sits on the banks of Strong Creek. The small town is rich in history. Almost every building in D’Lo has a history.
The special day will kick off at the historical Methodist Church. Several speakers will share in the history of the City. Next stop is the Community Center for light refreshments, exhibition of memorabilia, and more stories of the past.
James Davis, Betty Magee, and Rosalind Lee participated in an interview with MageeNews.com about the Saturday festivities.

Sue Note: I think D’Lo is one of the prettiest areas in Simpson County. D’Lo park is an outdoor paradise! The beautiful homes…old buildings…and people make the town a place to visit.
