The Scripture for today can be found in 1 John 3:2: “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” The Apostle was confident in letting the early Christians know that they had much for which to look forward to in Christ Jesus. His disciples were assured that He would one day return, and they would be like Him. The old would pass away, and all would be made new. One of my favorite gospel songs is “We Shall Be Like Him. The chorus contains the stirring lyrics: “When in Heaven we enter His presence. Imperfections will vanish away. We’ll be changed to His glorified likeness. We shall be like Him someday.” Praise the Lord! I am excited about having a “new look.”
