The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Psalm 23:2-3: “He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quite waters; He redeems my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” The psalmist expresses in beautiful poetry the power the Lord has over his life. God leads and guides his every move. He provides strength, times for rest and contemplation, and the restoration of body and spirit. The psalmist knew that his Redeemer was alive and not a stone statue. They shared close communion for which he was forever grateful. So should we be today. We have access to a living God! Let us serve Him with gladness and praise. How big is God? As the gospel song extols: “He’s big enough to rule this mighty universe, yet small enough to dwell within my heart.” Amen!
Happy Saturday!
