The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Colossians 4:2: “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” As Christians, we have a direct line of communication to God through prayer. The apostle knew we need reminding, however, never to neglect our prayer life and to keep in touch with our heavenly Father, thanking Him for our many blessings and with our prayer requests. Just as an earthly father wishes for his children to keep in contact, so does our heavenly Father wish it even more. Also, we are to be on constant alert, watching and waiting for the Lord’s return, because no one knows the day nor the hour. Read and study God’s Word to know the signs which point to His second coming. Amen! “Signs of the time are everywhere, and there’s a brand new feeling in the air. Keep your eyes upon the Eastern sky. Lift up your head; redemption draweth nigh.” I do love that gospel song and the strong message it bears for the Christian.
Happy Sunday! We have rain once again. Thank you, Jesus!
