Yes, this passage is confirmation that we are God’s own, because of His great love for us. In fact, He loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus to die for us so that we might be forgiven of our sins if we but repent and believe and accept His marvelous gift of salvation. We are Christians and claim it and proclaim it to a lost and dying world. Does the world know us? They didn’t know God’s Son. The world crucified Jesus, an historical fact! So, with great pride of kinship, let us exalt our King Emanuel. Let us shout it from the rooftops. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Amen!
