WARNING: Misleading Annual Report Mailers

JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office urges the business community, especially LLCs, to be cautious of misleading mailers distributed by third-party entities urging Annual Report filings.

These mailers typically request a fee and appear to be official government correspondence. All business owners should be sure to read the fine print as this correspondence is not authorized by the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office.

As a reminder, domestic LLC owners can file annual reports on the Secretary of State’s website at no cost. Annual reports are due by April 15th of each year. Our office sends numerous reminders reminding our Mississippi LLCs of upcoming filing deadlines and responsibilities.
