Walter Dennon May
(7/29/1940 – 8/14/2024)

Walter Dennon May was born on Monday, July 29, 1940 to Hines and Vernie Walker May. He was the youngest of five sons. He attended Magee schools and graduated from Magee High School in 1959. He married his high school sweetheart, Margaret White May, on June 4, 1959. The two spent 65 joyful years together and were blessed with two sons, Robert and Jamie. Dennon started out working in construction and later operated his own chicken farm. He was a hard worker and gave his best at everything he did. He spent 50 plus years as a Mason and was distinguished as a Master Mason. He took great pride in this brotherhood and carried the title with honor. He was especially close with his children and loved being a “Papa” more than anything in this world. Dennon loved the Lord and always pointed his family toward Christ. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church all of his life and was an involved member of the Young at Heart. His infectious laugh, loving spirit and knack for storytelling will be missed most of all.
