W. J. “Bill” Fortenberry, 88, of Braxton, Mississippi, passed from this life Wednesday May 30, 2018. He was born Monday, December 2, 1929.
Funeral Services will be held at Cato Baptist Church Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00AM with graveside at Zion Hill Cemetery in Rankin Co. Dr. G.R. (Ricky) Gray and Bro Don Lum will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mr. Fortenberry was a member of Cato Baptist Church and a member of D’Lo Lodge #230 for 65 years.
He was preceded in death by parents R. L. and Corrine Fortenberry Brother, Bobby Fortenberry, Sister, Mary Grace Walters.
Survivors include wife of 71 years, Nadine Fortenberry, Son, William Fortenberry (Theresa), Granddaughters, Keisha Prestwood (Landry) and Kelli Smallwood (Clint) Great-grandsons, Gaige Brown, Carson Prestwood, and Callen Smallwood, Sister-in-Law, Jeanette Ainsworth. A host of Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Ainsworth, Mike Ainsworth, Rick Ainsworth, Kirby Fortenberry, Rance Fortenberry, Robert Walters. Honorary pallbearer Billy Styron.
