Now, we’re asking for our readers to vote for one player to be named the #MSPreps player of the week.

After the C-L names its athlete of the week and top performers, we’ll compile a list of 10 players (five boys and five girls) and put up a poll for fans to submit their vote.

Voting will start Tuesday and end Thursday at 3 p.m. Once the votes are tallied, the #MSPreps player of the week will be revealed on Friday morning.

Here’s a breakdown of each nominee:

Jacquelle Green, D’Iberville: Senior quarterback passed for 265 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 208 yards and three TDs in a 56-35 win over Picayune.

A.J. Brown, Starkville: Had a career-high 16 catches for 192 yards in a 20-7 win over Oxford.

Lina May, Vancleave: Won the Mississippi College High School Opener at Choctaw Trails with a 4K time of 15:36.73 against a field that included three other all-state runners.

McKenzie Pattierson, Corinth: 3 singles, 2 doubles, homer, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scores in two games.

T.J. McGinnis, Pisgah: Had 21 carries for 253 yards and four TDs in a 53-27 win over St. Aloysius.

Hannah Wootton, Jackson Academy: Had 164 assists as the Lady Raiders went 7-1 and won the championships of the Gulf Coast Kickoff Classic.

Julian Conner, Hattiesburg: Threw 348 yards and 5 touchdowns in a comeback win over Laurel.

Hannah Creel, Parklane: Pitched a one-hitter and struck out three batters for a 2-0 win over Silliman (La.)
