Diane McPhail and I attended the Mendenhall Business Women annual Christmas Open house at two homes in Mendenhall. The Chalk home and Cockrell home were on the tour.

The Chalk’s have a lovely home located off Green Avenue. Seeing these homes decked out with Christmas lights…and clean spaces…always gets me in the mood to decorate…but usually that last only a short while! Lexi Cockrell, Mendenhall ’s Miss Hospitality, opened her newly purchased home. Lexi told me this is her first “big” girl home and she is excited. Lexi put on quite a show with the interesting decorations in her home. I admire anyone who will allow others into their home! The fundraiser serves to keep the club pushing forward with projects for Mendenhall.

Following the actual tour of homes, the “tickets” stated to go to Alice Davis Park to meet Santa. Ya’ll that know Diane know we are not going to miss anything!

Refreshments followed at Darling and Distressed. The food was prepared by Sassi Southern Catering (Melinda Hart). The food was delicious as always. Madison Magee’s business looked fantastic. She has done a lot of remodeling and adding on in the past year. Great job!

MageeNews.com has some special plans for our readers which we will announce in a week or so. You know Charlie White is always thinking up something to make any holiday more fun!

Congratulations to the Mendenhall Business Women on a job well done.
