Virginia Rebecca Rainey, 42, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, died Sunday at University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born Tuesday, September 9, 1975 in Mendenhall, MS
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the New Hebron Baptist Church in New Hebron, MS.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at New Hebron Baptist Church. The Burial will follow in Stonewall Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall. Bro. Joe Hanna, Bro. Mike Grenn, and Bro. Gary Lawson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

She loved to paint, read, and teaching little children at Simpson Central School who she sometimes called her “Babies”.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Rainey, Grandfather, Roy Rainey, Grandmother, Nattie Rainey, Grandmother, Juanita Walker, and Grandmother, Johnnie Walker.

Survivors include her Mother, Brenda Rainey, Grandfather, Everett Walker, Sister, Olivia ” Libby” Rainey, Brothers, Glenn Rainey (Penny), and Chris Rainey (Mae Lena), Nephews, Landon Rainey and Geonta Williams, Nieces, Macee Rainey, Kaitlyn Speed, Taygan Rainey, Rylee Rainey and McKenna Ann Rainey.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Rainey, Ashley Grubbs, Jay Thompson, James Walker, DeJay Blair and Will Rainey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Saranthus and Bud Rainey.
