Vera Lee Sullivan, 87 of Magee, Mississippi passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at her home in Magee, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, January 26, 1937 in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Alex Sullivan Cemetery in Mize, MS. Bro. Buddy Keyes will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Mrs. Vera loved flowers, yard work, the outdoors, riding her Snapper lawn mower, cooking, and spending time with her family and kids in her house. She will be greatly missed by family and friends

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jerry Sullivan; son, Edwin  Sullivan;  father, Daniel  Webster  Axton;  mother, Lula Sullivan Hall; step-father, Clarence Hall; grandchild, Jamie  Sullivan;  brother, Charles  Axton;  sisters, Ruby  McKinnis, Louise  Welch and Marie  Axton.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Sullivan and Kirk Sullivan (Jimmie); grandchildren, Heather Crowder, Kimberly Herrin  James), Brandy Sullivan, Alex  Sullivan  (Kaylon) and Abigail  Everett (Taylor);  eighteen great -grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild

Pallbearers will be Camerrin Herrin, James Herrin, Laythan Puckett, Taylor Everett, Ronnie Welch, Terry Welch, and Billie Hayes.

    Many fond memories of this precious lady as we worked many years together. The world was a better place with her in it, but she will make heaven even sweeter.
