Vema Rae Shows
(May 14, 1937 – October 31, 2017)

Vema R Shows, 80, of Mendenhall, MS passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at her home. She was born Friday, May 14, 1937 in Mize, MS.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Burial will follow in New Good Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Elder. Tony Lester and Elder. Phillip Conley will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031.
She is preceded in death by her Daughter, Barbara Lynn Dyche; Parents, Elder Marshall Jones and Nora Jones; Brothers, Sidney Gerald Jones, Edward Jones, Sister, Vera Mae Jones; 2 Grandchildren; 2 Great- Grandchildren.
Survivors include her Husband, Elder Sidney Shows; Son, Jeffrey Stewart Shows, Hattiesburg; Daughters, Lori Katherine Coquat (Zane), Memphis, TN, Janet Ronnell Douglas, Mendenhall, Nora Lee Taylor (Richard), Collins; 17 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ian Shows, Marshall Shows, Christopher Shows, Frank Prince, James Herrin and Ryan Appelt.
