Vaughn Ray Ball, 86, of Sumrall, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, August 9, 1933, in Simpson County, Mississippi.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mr. Ball was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother.  He served our country in the United States Air Force.  He enjoyed the wild life and hunting.  But most of all he loved and enjoyed the time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Ollie Ball; two sisters, Inez Neely and Irma Brasfield.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Dixie Ball of Sumrall; one son, Vaughn Ball II (Kathy) of Mobile, AL; three grandchildren, Seth Ball, Stephen Coker, and Jason Coker; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
